about an hour or so. It usually takes longer to find all the documents you need than to fill out the form. Be sure you have your tax forms and W2 forms handy. Debt is not calculated into the formula and I do not believe that your retirement funds are used in the formula any longer. PS: If he is truly going to start in the fall 08 he is applying really late. Those getting the best financial aid packages are those that applied back in Feb/March. Be sure he applies in Feb/March in 09. Good luck.
