How long does it take to deploy a site?

A. How long is a piece of string? A 6TD can be buried and deployed with solar panel in about 2 hours. It is usually the driving which is the limiting factor on an experiment with 6TDs. A 40TD (buried) with a SAM will take one day maximum, half a day once you get practiced. A 3TD/40TD on bedrock requires at least one day but a prior visit will be required to prepare the bedrock with cement if used. Good deployments take longer, it really depends on the materials being used and the conditions expected e.g. a site in Greenland designed to survive a couple of winters took 2 weeks.
