How long does it take to adopt through Lifetime?
Our fastest matches have been within 24 hours of contracting, some within a few weeks or months, and others within 18 months. Most families will match within three to 12 months of the time they have submitted their presentation profiles to Lifetime. There are a number of things that can affect a family’s match time. One of them is how open the family is in their adoption preferences. The more open you are to race, age, gender, substance exposure and birth parent contact, the more situations you will be shown to. This results in more opportunities to be selected. Much also depends on the quality of your presentation profile which is a combination of your Dear Birth Parent letter and photos of your life.
