It only takes about 45 minutes. So my suggestion for falling preg is to stay laying down for about this amount of time. Yes, sperm can live up to 3 days inside a woman. But once the egg is fertalized, it takes about 5 days for it to travel down the tube and to implant itself into the uturus. IT DOES NOT TAKE 36 hours because the egg will be dead by then!
