Grass seed grows at varying rates of germination. It depends entirely on what type of grass seed you choose, but the average amount of days is 10. Once you plant your seed, it is a waiting game, sometimes of weeks before you will actually see any grass. One way to determine when your seeds should sprout is to place a few seeds on a damp paper towel at the same time you plant your grass seeds in the dirt. Place the paper towel in a sealed plastic bag and once it sprouts you’ll know that your outside grass should be sprouting as well.
