Implantation IS conception. From fertilization (which is the sperm fusing with the egg) to conception (when the fertilized egg implants in the womb lining) takes about 6-7 days, so that would be 6-7 days after ovulation. It was probably a waste of time to do a test the day your period finished, your period would have told you that you were not pregnant.

depends on the person really but the norm is 7 to 10 days…. then after implantation hormones increase three times as much every day…. on the hpt wait exactly 14 to 16 days after ovulation….
