How long does it take for the Velella to sink and scatter my loved ones remains?
A. As shipped, and without closing the plug holes, the Velella will sink within 20 minutes. The sink time can be extended by using the included foam to cover one or more of the holes which slows the entry of water for sink times up to 4 hours. Importantly, being a natural product, there can be significant variability based on environmental factors, such as the turbulence of the water.
