How long does it take for the embroiderer(s) to create a piece of silk embroidery?
The time to create a work really depends and varies based on the preferred size and quality of stitch with a minimum time of 1 month for a small piece (i.e., 12 x 16 inches) to a few years and 2 to 3 persons for a large wall-sized piece. During the stitching process, the embroidery artist must rest her eyes on a regular basis – about every 20 to 30 minutes.
