How long does it take for the effects of morphine to start?
It is almost immediate. In some cases when people are in the hospital in great pain they will have an IV Morphine drip and have pain control over themselves by simply pushing a button close to their hand. If a person is in a great deal of pain, but will recover small doses are usually given and then the person is given another drug to combat that of morphine (because of the addiction) but this is done only in hospitals.
