A Norfolk Pine bowl takes 2-3 weeks for the oiling process. A Norfolk Pine hollow vessel takes 4-6 weeks for the same process. To maintain the finish of a functional bowl, use mineral oil only from the first use on. Other oils can cause stickiness; vegetable and/or olive oil will become rancid.
