No, not true. A grower with proper a proper light set up can grow good, smokable weed in about 4 months. If it is planted outside it might take 6 months. It grows a lot of places that have cold winters, it can’t survive a freeze so it has got to be able to flower and go to seed in the 6-8 month growing season that nature gives it. With special lighting and fertilizer you can speed up that process.
