How long does it take for bacteria to show up in pneumonia?
My Mom is very sick and in critical condition with a terrible pneumonia, she has had many tests and a bronchoscopy done a few times. I was just wondering how long it takes for that bacteria to grow and show up, because they still don’t know where the infection is coming from. It could be viral, but her white blood cell count is high, in the 20000s. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
