Our hair doesn’t grow any slower than any other rate. It grows at an average of 1/2 a month. Not matter what you are doing to your hair it is growing. What is probably happening is that you are not retaining length. This could be because of bad hair care practices. I suggest that you do a search on the Internet for black hair care, join the web group and get some tips that are specific to your hair. Some things I can suggest immediately are: 1. Wash your hair at least once a week – be certain to use a conditioner. Don’t be afraid of “reverting” your relaxer. 2. Use less heat. 3. Protect your ends by using moisturizers and natural oils to seal in the moisture. 4. Change your diet, eat fruits and vegetables and drink the daily recommended amount of water at least 8 – 8 oz glasses of water a day.
