How long does it take for a university of phoenix student to recieve check for pell grant?
I am an ex-finance advisor and if you read your “Authorization to Apply” funds form that you fill out each year, it states that you authorize the university to apply grants and loans to any future or outstanding tuition amounts. Each disbursement is calculated for 12 credits. Basically, the cost of your first four courses are tallied and that is then paid with your first disbursement of finaid and grants. Whatever is excess is what the student receives as a refund. If you do not like that, then check all “No” on your authorization to apply and the money will be sent to you. At that point, since you have the money in your hand and the school is no longer managing it for you, you are responsible for paying for the class two weeks prior to its start. If you spend the cash on something else and don`t complete credits, which happens constantly, then you fall out of attendance and are in violation of Title IV guidelines, where in which the DOE has the right to ask for a portion or all of the
