Well that of course is going to depend on what state you’re in and how fast the parties can agree or present the issues to a judge. But generally speaking, there is a time after filing the petition for dissolution of marriage or divorce, within which the other party responds and presents an answer. And then if there are no disputes, there are various requirements that each state require be completed, such as financial disclosure or things of that nature.
