In general, building permit applications that have a detailed description and a complete plot plan are processed faster than incomplete applications. A complete description includes the number of bedrooms in a proposed house or the number of employees/customers for a commercial operation. A complete plot plan will clearly show the location of all existing and proposed septic tanks, leach fields, and water wells.
