How long does it take Algae Tamer to work?
Algae Tamer begins to work immediately when it is placed in the tank. However, you may not notice its effect for a week to ten days. You will then observe the algae turning from green to black as it dies. If your tank had a lot of slime built up along the sides of the tank, the dead algae may start coming off in sheets and do so for about a week. Take a shovel or manure fork and fish the floating debris out of the tank. The water will become clear and no new algae will grow in the tank.
