How long does it take after the injection of ICG-PULSION until the value for the continuous arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) is displayed correctly again?
The dye ICG-PULSION interferes with the pulse oxymetrical measurement of the oxygen saturation. In our experience SpO2 is underestimated by maximally three saturation points during the peak of the ICG-PULSION dilution curve. This effect declines in the same degree, as the concentration of ICG-PULSION decreases and is negligible, when the dilution measurement is completed. To accommodate this effect, no SpO2 value is displayed and the alarm suppression is activated during the dilution measurement.
