How long does it take a printed CD-R to dry?
Drying times vary by CD-R make, humidity, and the amount of ink coverage/ saturation on a CD-R. Typically, under normal conditions/temperatures, with Epsom certified ink, the absorption layer of a CD-R typically dries in a minute total saturation up to 3 to 4. The 740 Epsom print engine used a finer print head resulting in smaller ink jet droplets reducing drying times. Printing onto labeled CD-Rs dries almost immediately.
