How long does it take a manuscript to be published in CICSD?
The process for publishing manuscripts in CICSD can take anywhere from 3–12 months. All manuscripts are peer reviewed typically by two editorial consultants with relevant expertise and the editor. Manuscripts not considered acceptable for publication may be returned to the author for revision before final publication. Once a paper has been accepted and forwarded to the ASHA National Office, the publications staff may edit further for style, clarity, and consistency. After the paper is typeset, authors are sent page proofs for final proofreading. Only after this process is the manuscript packaged and sent to the printer for publishing.
