How long does ECAR take to remove arsenic?
ECAR is a batch process. Low cost separation of sludge takes approximately 3 days (for a much higher cost, we can remove the sludge by vacuum filtration in a few hours). We envision a treatment center with 3 days of water storage capacity, allowing a continuous supply of affordable potable water. A recent breakthrough in the lab may be able to reduce treatment time to half a day or less.
