How long does bursitis last after hip replacement?
I had hip replacement 7/22/08 and keep having bursitis attacks in the affected thigh whenever I try to get some aerobic activity. I have switched from biking to swimming but keep getting swelling after exercise. I also do Pilates–but that does not cause any swelling. I am 49-year old female. Surgeon says he can inject after a few weeks of swelling, so I rest and the swelling goes down–without the shots. Then, when I resume aerobic exercise, it swells again to where I need to walk with a cane.
