How long does an IRB review take?
Each of the four committees meets weekly. Applications typically take a few days to be processed before the committee meeting and may require 2 weeks to be voted on. Many proposals require revision and additional administrative action after the initial review. You may not begin your research until you have received written approval from the IRB to do so.
