We have heard that an Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is typically usable for up to 5 years from the date of first use, when one is still eligible to be accessing classified data and “In Access” (Actively using their TS) and then one needs a PR (Periodic Review) reinvestigation also called a Periodic Update.
