How long does a money transfer take when you open an account with scott trade?
Your initial deposit should be credited a day or two after you open your account. Subsequent deposits (if you do it online through their Money Direct thing) will get credited about 5 minutes after you initiate the deposit. EDIT: it’s just the first deposit that takes a couple days. after that, it’s pretty much instant. the first one takes a couple days because they need to do IRS paperwork, Patriot Act anti-terrorist checks, etc. It has more to do with opening the account than funding it, really.
