It depends on the size of your hard drives, how long it’s been since you did a full scan the last time, and which program you are using. Some applications that are the most comprehensive might take that long, but you could always force quit the scanning application.

Shouldn’t run that long. Try restarting your computer even if you have to manually turn it off. How long it runs has to do with how much info you have stored on your hard drive. I have over 500 gigs so it takes awhile with mine.
