How long does a full restoration take?

A full “frame-off” restoration at Texas Trans Ams takes from 12 to 18 months. All parts are removed and each individual piece is cleaned, stripped or sandblasted. Rust is neutralized and parts are coated or primed. Many steps in the process are scheduled to coincide with other restorations. Primed body panels are allowed to cure for 30 days. Finally all parts are assembled and finished by hand. Our work is not collision repair or just a paint job it is full restoration.
