How long does a domestic wire transfer take to clear?
Domestic wires clearing time is generally under 2 minutes however, factors that effect the time are 1) How long does it take for the originating bank take to send it. 2) Are they sending it through the Federal Reserve System or using correspondant banks. 3) If using correspondant banks are they clearing online or will human intervention be required. If required how long will it take? 4) you said your intent is to send in early moring, this is fine but be advised if the wire transfer is going from west to east the cut off time could be quite early in the morning. Generally its best to ask the sending bank how long it will take and they should be able to give you a straight answer. If they are quoting longer than about 30 minutes. Consider changing banks.
