How long does a divorce take to complete from start to finish?
This depends upon the complexity of the case and the extent to which the parties are able to reach agreement on the issues involved in their divorce. Typically, divorces in which custody and/or the division of the parties’ assets are at issue take longer to resolve, perhaps between one to two years. Generally, the more the parties can reach agreement on issues, the shorter the divorce process, perhaps as short as a few months.
