How long does a district have to spend ARRA Title I funds?
The federal guidance on the ARRA Title I funds states that 85% of the Title I funds must be obligated by September 30, 2010. The last day to obligate 100% of the ARRA Title I funds is September 30, 2011. As with the majority of federal funds, recipients will have 90 days from the end of the period of availability to liquidate, i.e., spend, all funds.
