How long does a cat have to live with liver failure?
That is impossible to answer without knowing to what degree the disease has progressed, and what caused it. My cat Rusty was diagnosed with liver failure four years ago, and I switched him over to a homemade food diet that is partially raw, and dramatically cut down the dry food he is allowed. He will be 18 in April, and is actually doing quite well. The liver has a remarkable ability to regenerate, so depending on how far the disease has progressed will determine if the liver has the ability to heal, or at least go into remission. I’ve included a link you might find helpful.
