How long do u wait to announce ur engagement?
Nothing to add to what was related, except this: Traditionally engagements are a period of up to one year prior to the wedding date. In view of that, if your wedding date is about one year away from your date of engagement, it would be very, very tacky and inconsiderate to delay sending out engagement announcements and not do so until a date that is three to six months or such prior to the wedding (i.e., wedding ceremony) date. Remember: Guests need lots and lots of time to shop for gifts and/or wedding and/or engagement party attire, so there is a strong social element of consideration and courtesy involved.
