How long do trips last?
Tour 2000 trips to South America and Africa last approximately 2.5 to 3 weeks; trips to Mexico may be shorter. Because of the distances involved in getting to African locations in particular, one-way transit may take as long as two days. With only a few exceptions, succulent habitats tend to be spread out, without great diversities in close proximity. Therefore ground transportation in lengthy, and trips may log 2000-3000 km. These factors coupled with the expense of international flights make trips of less than two weeks inefficient. Convention Trips usually range from 5 days to two weeks depending on destination.
I offer a wide variety of pre-planned and custom trips varying from 1 to 8 hours in length. How much time you spend aboard my vessel exploring Acadia National Park and the Mount Desert Island area is entirely up to you. While I try to leave a bit of free time between bookings it is important that you reserve enough time to fully enjoy your trip with Sea Venture. As in the joke about the dying man not wishing that he’d worked more overtime, Sea Venture guests seldom wish they had reserved less time for their tour. In fact, many of my guests are disappointed when time constraints force us to head for home.
