How Long Do Tigers Live?
The life span of a wild tiger generally ranges from 8-10 years, but due to quality of veterinary care and lack of environmental hazards, tigers in captivity enjoy a vastly extended life, usually from 14-18 years old. Three of the LSU Mikes have lived past 19 years of age, thanks in large part to the extraordinary care each has received from their dedicated veterinarians at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
