How long do the trees in each project remain planted?
A typical rotation period is determined bases on project location, species, soil and climate. At this time CFS is focusing on Poland and a typical rotation or planting period is between 25 to 40 years. At this point it is more prudent to harvest the trees and reforest as the rate of carbon sequestration is not as effective as the earlier growth years.
