How long do students have in order to complete the Ph.D. degree at KU?
The number of years allowed to complete the Ph.D. degree may be extended if the student has applied for and received a leave of absence, but the following deadlines are set for successful completion of the various aspects of the doctoral training process. “Successful completion” means the student has finished all aspects of the named component. For example, the master’s thesis includes both a written component and an oral defense. Both must be completed by the required deadline for “successful” completion.
