How long do reclassification reviews take?
Reclassification reviews of open positions that need to be posted are given the highest priority and are usually completed within a week in LSA Human Resources. Reclassification reviews for positions with an incumbent are usually completed within 30 to 45 days of the date the paperwork is received by LSA HR. Common reasons for delays past that point are incomplete information or cases where the funding for the reclassification has not been secured. There can be an additional delay for requests submitted during the annual salary processing time (June through August) so submitting requests during that time period is not advised.
