Ok, guys, cancer is not a death sentence. Pancreatic cancer does have a high mortality, but only because symptoms usually show up once the cancer has metastasize to the liver or other important organs. If caught fairly early, Stages 1 & 2, pancratic cancer can be pretty curable. Don’t listen to all this Patrick Swayze crap, his was caught early and he’s been doing pretty good and responding to treatment. There is hope when diagnosed early. Later stages, though I have heard of people recovering at stage 4, sadly sometimes don’t have such good fortune. Without treatment at an early stage, I would say less than a year. Pancreatic cancer tends to be pretty aggressive. I hope your mom chooses her health over a pack of cigarettes, but that’s her choice. Good luck with everything.
