A. Working with lenders to reach a modification can take anywhere from a few days (rare) to several months (more typical). It depends on a number of factors such as the current financial position of the borrower in question and whether or not foreclosure proceedings have already been started. Typically, it takes 60-90 days to complete the mortgage mitigation process.
