How long do mehndi tattoos last?
It depends on what part of the body it has been done and how long the mehndi paste is left on the area. If it is done on the hand, it may last for not more than 5-7days, depending on how often the hands are washed. If it is on the feet, it may last for nearly 10 days. If it is on any other part of the body and the color is not dark enough, the tattoo will be visible for no more than a week. Mehndi tattoos should not be done on swimmers as the chlorine fades the Mehndi faster than usual. People with a dark complexion should only get mehndi on the palms, as any other part of the body may not show a good contrast.
