How long do lists of qualified candidates last?
Most lists remain active for at least 1 year, but no longer than 3 years. If a list is being replaced you will be notified that you will have to reapply and retest. Applicants who are not selected for a position remain on the list. Therefore, even if you are not hired immediately, you may be considered for future vacancies until the list expires.
