How long do internships typically last?
Internships may last one semester, or they may continue as long as the employer and the student are satisfied with each other. Occasionally interns are hired for shorter periods to work on a specific project. Generally, the duration of the internship must be at least the equivalent of four weeks full-time, or about 150 hours. Please discuss the duration of your position with the co-op coordinator and with students that you interview.
