How long do I have to wear braces? (Estimates)?
I have braces and I have had them for about 6 months. I had an overbite but very straight teeth before my braces. My orthodontist says I have about 2 to 2 and a half years of braces left. Then I will have a retainer for 6 months or more. Your orthodontist should know. Also, if it is an overbite like mines, it will take longer. But the factor of how old you are (longer) and that you have some false teeth will change the time. Ask your orthodontist, he’s the professional and if you are to pay him money (alot) then he should give you an almost exact estimate.
hi! me too i have my braces on for 6 years now… my mom’s a dentist.. hehehe.. about your question… it depends on your dentist and on the “replacing of the e-chains or the elastic bands” u wear on your braces… my mom is so busy to change my e-chain that’s why i am now on my 6th year… and you know, you should not put back your braces on since (i also have an overbite case) over bite case can be fixed with the use of a retainer… it’s much comfortable than braces… but if i’ll estimate it, probably 1-2 years….
