How long do Foxgloves last usually?
The most commonly grown foxglove plant is biennial, though i usually get some self-sown seeds germinating the year that the flower drops the seeds, which can flower the next year. There is a variety called Foxy which will flower the same year thats its sown from seed, usually dwarfer than the typical form, and is highly recommend. Otherwise there are other foxglove species that are perennial, including yellow forms. Digitalis purpurea is the widely grown form, that is also native to the UK, but its worth experimenting with other types too. Overall, this biennial plant grows from seed one year, overwinters and then flowers from later April May. It can set seeds that grow that year, or the following year. You could also supplement these with the Annual variety called Foxy. Once you have a couple of years rowings you will get continuous flowerings year on year, if you let the seedlings grow. Hope this helps. Good luck!
