How long do chlamydia symptoms last (greenish discharge)?
Chlamydia does not tend to cause greenish discharge – it’s more likely to be gonorrhoea which causes that. You will have been given 1000mg of azithromycin as a one off dose to take, and depending on the strength of the tablets they had in stock, you may have taken either 2 or 4 tablets. If the discharge was due to chlamydia, the azithromycin would have cleared it by now, so it’s likely to be due to something else, perhaps gonorrhoea. I would advise that you get in touch with them for your results, and if they say everything is clear then ask for another appointment for further investigations. In reference to the other answers you have been given, if there is a strong suspicion of infection, it is much safer to treat than to wait for the results, which take up to two weeks. Untreated infection can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which in turn can cause infertility.
