How long do carpets take to dry after cleaning?
The normal drying time for carpet is from 4 to 6 hours and furniture is 1 to 2 hours. However, this depends on carpet style, air flow, and humidity. If you have ceiling fans, box fans, or floor fans this time will be greatly reduced. During the drying process it is perfectly safe to walk on the carpets. But, be aware the damp carpet will soak up dirt off shoes and can create slippery conditions when you return to a hard surface. If you need to use your carpets as soon as possible, we routinely leave surgical booties to wear over your feet so you can carry on your everyday duties.
