How long do butterflies live for?
A. This is a tricky one to answer. In the wild, butterflies will generally live until a predator eats them. Spiders, birds and ants love to snack on butterflies and these predators are usually the governing factor when figuring out the life span of a butterfly. Some species such as the Wanderer or Monarch butterfly are poisonous to birds and can therefore live for several months.
