Answer Hi, Marybeth…. The rashes associated with Lyme disease can take on many forms other than the typical target rash that everyone is familiar with. I know people who have had rashes come and go. I know people who have had rashes from a bite that were diagnosed as eczema to ringworm and everything in between. (Mostly due to the fact that doctors don’t know a whole lot about Lyme disease.) There is really no cut-and-dried answer about a Lyme rash. I always advise people to get a picture of the rash as soon as possible as it may be used as a diagnostic tool later on.
