I’d wait until you’re cleared by your doctor, personally. I had a 4th degree tear, 163 stitches, and waited until almost 5 months (then again, my husband was deployed), but I wasn’t cleared to be intimate at my 6 week checkup, they wanted me to continue to wait due to my tear/healing process.

Go for it. I had exactly what you had a 2nd degree tear and an episiotomy. I had sex the first time at 2 and a half weeks but I started bleeding again so I waited until I was 3 and a half weeks and did it again and used KY jelly and it was great. I just had my baby on Christmas and I stopped bleeding after 1 week, but then like I said it started again at 2 and half weeks, it lasted one day and quit again and then was gone for good. IF your ready go for it.
