How long did the flood cover the earth?
The only instance in the scriptures that directly mentions the 150 days or 5 months is the flood. Moses wrote: And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated (Gn. 8:3). So we see the earth was covered 150 days with water before it abated or decreased. The earth immersed in water for 150 days symbolized a death and burial state with the only life being within Noah s ark. Ironically, Noah lived 350 years (350 in principle is 3.5 or 3 1/2) after the flood (Gn. 9:28). Why did the flood cover the earth for five months?
